Animators ! Oh yeah ... these sexy exotic-looking guys that you can find in pretty much every hotel across Tunisia, jumping, yelling, laughing, telling jokes, giving massages, dancing "BOOOMBAAAA" etc.. they're just practically ALL OVER THE PLACE .. They really attract your attention, they do !!
I'm 100% Sure that some of you have "Experiences" with Animators, if not most of you of course.
Today, I will be exposing Animator-Rats that are pretty much in every Hotel in the country and yes, I assume my responsibility when I say at least 99% of them are just professional Ripp-offs, Scammers and emotional black-mailers but again ! this doesn't mean that all animators are rats but most of them are lmfao
As I usual I will organize this thread according to bigger titles and topics, as I will be focusing first on Animators' terms/dictionary then I will talk about how a Rat Animator spends his day before I finish with Tips and tricks that Animators use aside of their "Job" in order to get money.
So let's go on with it !
Animators have different sometimes more distinguishable terms and words they use to refer to certain elements and certain aspects of their jobs, once you're in a hotel with an animator's company, you'd automatically hear these words .. I'll just focus on the general terms, but next time I'll tackle the "Tunisian-Arabic" terms that indicate that you're dealing with a Rat.
1- " Arrivage "
You guessed right ! It means arrival, it's what they say every time they learn that new "potential victims" are arriving to the hotel.
2- "El Box"
It's just a wardrobe where you can find a lot of hair wigs, clothes, some cheap disguise clothes, make up, some beach toys yati yati yati etc...
3-"Contact"
This is a part of the job, Contact means the conversations they must have with tourists ( most importantly potential victims ) it's just when you're chilling on the beach and suddenly some weird over-tanned young man jumps on you trying to act funny and establish some conversation that's what they call "contact".
4- "Depart"
It's just when tourists are about to leave the hotel.
5- Accueil :
It's simply when they put a *DIY* "POSTER" about tonight's event or show and they just try as hard as they can to convince you that you must attend.
6- Boita
Simply the night-club.
Some of these terms, I admit, are less relevant such as Aqua Gym, "The Boomba" thing .. anyway, I will talk next time in depth about the most important and frequent terms and expressions that every Rat uses and explain them all.
1- Animators usually get hotel rooms.
Since the Animator must be present around tourists from dawn till dusk and most likely after that too, they usually get empty hotel rooms offered by the hotel that is hiring them.
2- MORNINGS
When you're simply enjoying your holiday by the beach and trying as much as you can to spend some unforgettable times and good ones, The Animator becomes a part of your life .. especially when he smells that you're well-off or coming from a rich country etc...
3- THE ARRIVAGE
This is why I wanted to explain this word/term .. because it's significant ! As tourists, you may notice (or not) as soon as you're arriving to the hotel getting off the bus, some hotel animators would come to the lobby/reception to greet you and to introduce themselves as well.
You'd be like "owww how cute !" Well, not so much !
These moments are the most important and crucial moments of the predators (TLR) that's when they get to know you, where are you coming from, how do you look, whether you're alone or with a friend, etc... They would analyze everything about you during those few second/minutes.
Don't be surprised if some animator guy starts talking to you while you're filling the form and waiting for the key to your room, and in fact he might even want to know the number of your room as well.
4- The Swimming-pool and the beach:
That's where the Rat-Animator would spend most of the time, after you get the keys to your room, you'd want to chill a bit at the pool or the beach, that's when his works starts, he'd usually start having some minor small talks with you, this type is usually the type that already has a girl at the hotel and she's about to leave in a couple of days, so he'd keep it short and simple with you. But once that girl leaves the hotel, everything changes and escalates real quick !
5- Dj's :
Sometimes, Mr Deejay would want to share some of the fun, but of course ! he's just using Virtual DJ and pretty much underground pre-composed music or mainstream ones, and the problem is that he believes he's a true DJ (This brings tears to my eyes)
6- The Nightlife:
2 main or possible events would always take place, it's the "SHOW" it's just poor comedy, cheap taste of music, most of these shows exist in pretty much every hotel, The same thing! Some music for the kids and of course they'd try to come to you and make you join them on "Stage" That's so much fun Yay !
The NIGHT-CLUB as well, it usually opens after the night-show and it's also the perfect ground for the Rat-Animators to get close to you, make you drink and of course ask you to buy them drinks, then some of you know how this will end-up or where lol
7- Tomorrow morning:
And Tadaa ! you're in touch pretty much closely with a Rat because after the disco, the night show, after sharing a couple of conversations by the pool. danced a bit later at night .. you became "Friends" or "Close" and that's when the REAL WORK BEGINS .. ( asking for social media, paying attention, the famous developing of feelings etc...)
See? It would take them only one day maximum 2 to get their preys !
8- The Goodbye:
Remember our friend, the Animator that already has a girl in the hotel and acts slippery around you, but focusing only on the short talks, and small conversations .. now he's changed and he's becoming too close to you, just because the girl that he has just left the hotel back to her country, so now he's 100% Free to focus on the next one.
And yeah, It's as simple as that for them, once you leave ! they'd just keep in touch via social media to ask for money, visas, marriage .. while they're already preying on someone new that has just arrived in the last "Arrivage".
1- The Animator job doesn't pay well .. PERIOD !
Animators, don't usually have good salaries, not only they work exclusively during the "Season" but also, they Eat, drink, and sleep for free at the hotel ..
2- Drinks and Smokes:
You'd already know by now, how do they get to smoke and drink during the day ! The Free Exclusive offers in Tunisian hotels and Tourists having that offer are usually the first Preys. You'd simply Share your drinks with them and they'd constantly ask for cigarettes especially when then make you think as if you've gotten familiar together.
3-Rolling eyes
Some animators, would try to take note of everything you have .. they'd compliment your jacket, watch, phone, sunglasses .. anything to make you give it to them before you leave..
And yes, I know what you're thinking .. It works and it's still working out for them until this moment because they'd analyze your personality before they ask for anything.
4-Not so good company:
Many Tourists would like to visit the city and get out of the hotel to walk, sightseeing, exploring place especially the "Medina".. and that's the perfect opportunity for the Rat-Animator to earn ( get ) some extra cash ! and This is very simple, they just express their desire to take you to the Medina (ex:_) and help you do your shopping for souvenirs etc...
They'd end up agreeing with a shop-owner that they already know and sometimes they really work together.. So, You'd end up buying a 40$ Chinese carpet for 100$ or even more, you'd also buy a 5$ Box of cigarettes that have an unknown origin with at least 20$ or more .. etc.. This way, of course the shop-owner or the seller has made some extra income, but also the Rat-Animator made some good cash as well.
PS : There's a new trend, some people use drugs and sometimes Animators would also offer their help to get some, they'd buy you a 5$ worth of drugs for 50$ and more and it seems according to my sources this has been working out for them like magic.
Just to conclude, I know there are some good Animators out there, and I've known some really good and honest ones that never had the intention of using anyone for any personal or financial gains, but you really need to watch out !! they may seem "Special" and you're on a holiday so f#ck it, let's just have some fun !! but that fun may cost you a lot.
I'll be talking more in depth about other tricks in the near future, and things that you really should do and do not as soon as you land in Tunisia or any other country.

while his American gf was paying (their) apartment rent again lmbo . I know that this is a close “holiday” resort for a lot of people close by but I’m so far away I would never dream of going there for vacation! Send me to Florida!
