Yes you really should focus on you because he may seem like the perfect guy, they all did to us!!! And here we are we have been hurt, lied to, …example ; tuition, but it was always something that made us feel obligated to give money, the fact is they are many miles away you can’t trust them they could be talking to many others, and some ladies here were taken for a lot of money!!! Because they were the perfect guy and ended up with a broken heart

I feel like I just need to meet him, with the intention of just seeing what he is like. He has mentioned he doesn't want to go to a Muslim country. He wants to come to Mexico but if he can't then maybe Serbia, which he doesn't need a visa for. I can listen to what you guys are saying and you're probably right. But obviously it's incredibly hard to just stop talking to him and move on when we've talked every day for over a year. I'm just going to see how it plays out and keep my distance. You are very well travelled but that won't prepare you - trust me he will treat you like a Queen, his family will treat you as though you are a long lost daughter and you will have an amazing time then BAM he has you hook line and sinker!

OR he could turn out to be an absolute beast, drinking, having friends round all the time expecting you to provide the refreshments - he will leave you for hours to go to the coffee shop with his friends sometimes even locking you into the apartment!

If you do meet please book a hotel independent of him and stick to places that have lots of people around, if possible take someone with you or at least let us know so that we can put you in touch with other members that lives there in case of emergency.

Basically, I've been telling people about my Tunisian boyfriend and they keep linking me this site. None of them care about him and assume because he is Tunisian he is scamming me. I never thought much of it and now after reading these posts, I am worried! To clarify, I do not think he is a rat and hearing others opinions might be hard for me. I met him on kik.. an app where you are matched with a random person and you just start talking. Me both used it during quarantine in April 2020 because we were both stuck at home bored. He never asked for nudes (like most guys) so I continued talking to him. We are both 23 years old btw and I am American. Also, both of us are Agnostic and have similar worldviews and wants for our future. From my perspective, he has been the sweetest guy I have ever met. He listens to me, and is never controlling. He has asked me for money once. Basically, he was supposed to start university and he found out a couple weeks before that his family couldn't afford it. He said he was so nervous to ask but he finally did.. to pay a bit for his tuition. I said no, and he said that's okay and money was never talked about again. I have brought up marriage simply because I told him if we're really going to do this we'll have to get married at some point. He wants me to live in Tunisia with him, he's very excited to show me different places, food, culture. I said maybe if things go really well we could get married so I can get residency there and he seemed open to it. We agreed neither of us want to live in the U.S. Now, to me, all this sounds reasonable and I'm really excited to visit him. Am I missing the warning signs? From what I understand he went to school in France and went to visit extended family during holidays. He then moved to Tunisia during covid with his family. I guess when he got to Tunisia and was going to start school, he had to take an Arabic language test to enroll?

So his family can afford to send him to school in France but can't afford the free university in Tunisia

I got ripped off hiring a car out found out his was his dam brothers!!!!!!
And the papers I found in the car showed me other dodgy dealings he was up to !!!
Right in the car when I pulled down the mirror papers fell out it was his brothers driving licence and papers belonging to the car plus other papers I was angry to say the least
When i was left in apartment for hours ratty was taking car back to his rat brother and waiting in coffee for rat bro to come back with fucking petrol if put in
A cousin off ratty told me and said I'd paid too much and his brother was still useing everyday fucking cheeky rat i said I already know wtf !!!!
He said he hated people getting ripped off !!!!!

See that’s probably the worst part of it, the fact that they’re all in it together. As a newbie you might think (and I can see how) oh what lovely people, so welcoming, everyone coming to see me......Then you realise it’s because they’re all getting a piece of you, f*cking vultures.

The more you think about it the more sick it becomes... I actually can’t imagine getting my friends and family together and coming up with ways to scam someone’s that’s flying to see me. It’s so, so low and to me a form of organised crime. Ok, we might’ve picked the wrong guy but we certainly never chose to be scammed by GROUPS of individuals...!

The car was bought by a woman he was dateing although he was married it was to he used for her when she came , the rats bro sold the car for 40,000 dinas and i never heard from her again according to ratty she had cheated on his brorher hurt him bad so he sold the car cus he were heart broken ,ffs the rats bro was married she never knew this !!!!

Lots of people judge us saying oh that this happens in relationship, and people disagree and I beg to differ because if its
happening to a lot of us then no its not a normal thing.
These rats are a different species, never had anything like this in my life because everything is wrong with them mentally!!
and I am happy to say I will never go through this experience again!
