Thanks @Wiser its just this dark cloud looming over me I want to be free of it all
I was thinking of going to Tunisia and just ending it over there but my son said that I should not have to waste the time and energy to go.
I have no idea what awaits me there, kind of scary not really knowing if my ex-rat will do something.
so my son said just don't marry again although the marriage papers were done wrong so I don't know, anyways Canada won't interfere with matters in Tunisia
I have been neglected and abandoned shortly after the sham marriage so they consider it like living alone here
So I can live with someone but I cant marry because I have no divorce papers so its all confusing to me!
I have the contract I asked a lawyer in Sousse and he said that all I have to do is come there to sign.
Seems expensive to up and leave, and some people say get a divorce from here well its not all that easy.
I know other countries do it differently.
So I feel this dark cloud its like I am free yet this feeling of wanting not to be tied to the rat!
Because I feel this is a small obstacle, and my ex-rat knows it so I don't want to enter Tunisia ever again

Orfi is what I had, I’m not sure if they are different in Egypt but some you can legally register. This makes things tricky for the woman because these contracts give you virtually no rights but the man can use it against you, and as a way to blackmail under the pretence that you’re properly married. It’s a grey area, but I wouldn’t advise anyone to have one as they benefit no one. It can give the rat a sense of power but even then he’ll push for a legal marriage so that he can get his visa.

A true marriage is when BOTH parties prepare and save up and it’s done with respect, the whole community has to know about it and give their blessings on it.

I call it a sham because there was a document missing called Statement of Marital Status, this is a document that I should have gotten but wasn't told it was needed for a municipal wedding in Tunis, so because it was after Ramadan as well there were not many openings but the rat did not look at other cities in Tunisia so we had to have a judge officiate in the rat's home. I had the Embassy's documents of non-impediment which is basically saying that I am able to marry but the Statement of Marital Status was like a guarantee that I was not married or engaged back home, its like a double guaranty.
Because a woman can have a non-impediment and still be engaged but in her country at least that is what the judge told me.
So the marriage went on with condition that I could get this Statement of Marital Status after I leave Tunisia well
if I did do this wouldn't I have to back date it, nobody is going to do it that is fraud.
I even tried to get this in the embassy and they said that they gave me a document before to marry that should be sufficient
and the rat said here give this graph paper which had on it a written affidavit well the embassy said the same thing.
So you see how the rat just hounded me into doing this, the embassy said "You know you don't have to do this"
Then that's why I say it is a sham, because it was done with my money to hand to a judge who says I am doing this on condition
of this paper that will be handed in after the wedding.
So you all, apparently on my papers its legal because it is a contract but on his side its like this will not be on his identity papers
because of this.
Then how would I prove he is married to me, talk about a loophole but its one that is illegal
So he was never married or it wasn't correctly done in Tunisia.
I will do what I can from here, but the onus is not on me to correct this , because its Islamic laws with municipal
laws, but either way if I choose to never do a thing, I am sure the rat if he remarries will do the right thing and send the papers to me.

how could i sponsor him anyways if he cannot prove he is married with the identity papers that show he is single.

It's very complicated @yougogirl75 i can understand its doing your head in as you want it to be over with and be done with it all. I suggest you definitely seek legal advice again to see if they can't fix it all via the tunisian embassy so atleast you know where you stand in all of this. It's confusing and stressful

I did send an email to the Tunisian consulate here where I am and this was suggested from higher up government officials and I have no

Adjust your settings to your social media to private. Warn your children you where "friends" with this man and ask them to block him and each attempt he tries. Don't feel ashamed or stupid just explain the basic things to your children. You are not alone in this up untill this day I have to be careful to adjust all my social media to private because after time passes these rats have a tendency to look up their victims from the past.

Yes, they go to that lenght, they contact family members, even underage... They do not care. They keep a track on everyone in your contact list. It could help to warn them you are being harrassed so they can help you report and block, warn them to not reply nor open files. He has done enough damage in your life, do not allow him to cause damage in your beloved ones'

Exactly as they do think we only live for them and their endless needy texts or request to prove where you are or with who. It's a relief when you get rid of a rat. Now I am at peace but I have another problem now.... I seem to forget where I left my fone as I don't need it as much no more
