We can think she will harm herself in going again there for her tummy tuck and leave herself to the mercy of this rat but sayings she deserves this rat is harsh nobody deserves this . I don't think her intentions where to mock the experiences the other ladies had with their rats. It's a fine line in communication here on the forum. I find the words which are used the last days quite disturbing I prefer to be kinder to other women no matter what her decision is it's up to her to deal with it. It's the main reason why I am lesser at the forum.

No matter how harsh she said her words in the long run she is not a child but a grown woman
She makes her own descions and the consequences will be hers alone, but she can not say harsh words to us, i went through hell and back and half the things that happened to me i still find it hard to speak off !!!
So we have remember she is a grown woman and she makes the choice to go or not, same as we all did , we all have to accept what happened and move on ,but i for one will not allow any one to make mockery off the situation we survived through we are not victims we are survivors!!!!!

I can see how it might rub ladies the wrong way kinda like curious G just saying.. it’s just life it’s our reactions sometimes we can’t hide them so they come out. I’m sure we don’t mean to hurt feelings like they don’t either

I'm sorry @Starlight I fail to see where she made a mockery of other women's experiences? In one of her posts she said she would take her daughter if and when she has a surgery. She never said she wants to go back to tunisia to get it done there. She said she changed her mind about it when she read all the comments how bad tunisian hospitals are. In all honesty which woman here at the forum can't say she didn't go back to her rat? Even if we had red flags? Warnings from family and friends the man you are in love with isn't a good man? Before I answer a post from a victim I read through her texts to see what she replied before in case I would answer her incorrect. She felled attacked and she lashed out. I would do the same......

He already shown his true colours, he is young and to him she’s not family, so he won’t look after her in that way or not at all.

Crazy idea to have that surgery away from home as there can be complications and easy to have infections.

Please Jennie think carefully about what you’re about to do.

We are in USA and I just went to the hospital for a really bad head cold… baby is growing and so so active

Yes they use medical emergency as an excuse for money i once sent him money for teeth and I am fuming that I did that he had an accident broke his teeth them said it ok i just pay 5 dinas every time I go dentist he ended up with new teeth again and i was fuming I asked him why I had paid last time he said sorry habibi it was different dentist he said I will pay the money back when u come did he no he ####### didn't!!!!

I’m in USA now and since I’ve been here I’ve had nothing free. Urgent care is 85$ per visit and hospital surely is not free without insurance ( thankfully we have insurance), but we pay an ungodly amount for it….. and good luck finding a decent doctor without a referral or knowing someone working in the office to get you in for a visit. I think the healthcare system here is a nightmare. But the best way I can explain Tunisia is like this… regular hospital in USA is not typically state charity hospital, in Tunisia the free hospital is in the oldest government building setting, poorly kept, no air conditioning, rarely enough beds, other technologies is just unthinkable…. The clinics are like regular hospitals in USA and 9 times out of 10 are not even the same, lacking what they need to perform good healthcare. It’s not cheap for the clinic in Tunisia necessarily. Example if one person gets an X-ray they can pay around 400-800$ for the X-ray, doctor, clinic fee … and that is absolutely not cheap for average Tunisians. To have a baby in Tunisia is free at the hospital, but if you want a good doctor, room without 5 other women, pain medication…. It’s going to cost.

Usually what these rats ask for is a lie, I don’t think half of them are having these medical emergencies as they say. They ask for money for medical help because they know that is how to get the foreign woman to feel the most sympathy for them…. They are playing the game.

You dont have to rehash, it was very confusing because I though hc was free, this is why our rats use us for medical bills I know private drs cost there but we are not asked for money for private dr they scam us to go to hospital then we find out here it doesn’t cost. I completely agree with @Butterflies. Paying more for a tummy tuck seems to be worth it. It’ll save you more down the road, and I’m not talking about money. It’ll avoid you a lot of headaches.

Knowing the caring souls rats are and from the things you said, I don’t believe he will take care of you and let you peacefully rest and recover from the surgery. He may expect you to cook and serve him, things like that. He won’t care about your needs. He won’t care that you’re tired and in discomfort and can’t move a lot for a few days. I can see him wearing you out with constant requests and demands for whatever, moodiness and fights when you say no. They don’t do nothing for free. He’ll be resentful that he has to play the nurse and will make you pay for it. Again not talking only about money.

Frankly, @Jennie, I don’t think it’s a wise decision to go there, see him again and expose yourself to more crap from him.
Think well because you may regret this trip. I’d stay home. Beside, if I was doing this procedure, or any kind of surgery, I’d want to be close to where my doctor is for follow ups or in case there were complications following the surgery in the future.

Please rethink having any surgery. I had a neck tuck in sousse and ended up in A &E in the UK. I did a lot of research on the surgeon and he came highly recommended by the Tunisians. Be safe and stay away.

@Miss mugg, I’m so sorry for the bad surgery experience in Tunisia. I hope you’re okay now. I’m not the person who is planning to have surgery in Tunisia. @Jennie is. Thank you for sharing your experience.

wherever i go have it i planned on staying 6 weeks but i’m just curious about this procedure so i checked in to it and that’s it. I don’t have anything set in stone.

If you do have it done in Tunisia join the Expat Facebook groups. Loads of Americans, Canadians, Europeans living here, try to make some friends before you come so you will have some support and some people to meet up with
